Crwst’s bread and bakes are all handmade from scratch – the way it should be.

Driven by our love for bread and all things sweet, we’ve established Crwst to offer something special. Crwst is currently based in a home kitchen, with only one oven and one baker, Osian! We hand mix and hand shape all of our bread without the use of machinery. We cut no corners and bake everything from scratch to a top notch quality standard. Our breads & sourdough contain only 3/4 main ingredients: Organic Flour, Water, Salt (& organic yeast in our yeasted breads). We are proud to use Shipton Mill flour- organic and of exceptional quality.

We also use our own sourdough starter which is currently 4 years old. For the sourdough novice – the mature starter is used to make the levain for all our sourdough loaves, which means that conventional yeast isn’t needed. We NEVER use preservatives or improvers and strongly believe that ‘real’ bread is the way forward.

Crwst isn’t your conventional ‘walk-in’ bakery as we work from our home kitchen. But you can find our bread at local shops three times a week. You can also find us with our bread and bakes at Cardigan Market most Thursdays and Saturdays through out the year. We also attend food fayres and markets, check out our ‘Where to find us‘ section for more info!

We try to keep a relatively seasonal theme throughout the year and chop and change our bread flavours, for example the up and coming beetroot season will see our pink Beetroot Sourdough come to light. You will also find seasonal flavours in our sweet bakes such as our Portuguese Custard Tarts with blackberries!

If you’re looking for Crwst to supply you with some bread and bakes, get in touch for more information and we can send you a price list with our most recent and seasonal bakes. Please bare in mind that we are only a ‘micro-bakery’ working from a home kitchen with limited equipment and storage so can’t cater for huge amounts.
